Water can swim
Deep
Water Can Swim
Here
In water
Water can swim
Beyond the beach and stars and cosmic rays
The thing of water swims and sways
In strides unmeasured of its shores and deeps
All drag and tow and tidal sweeps
A dance that slips and slides its Kraken size
To feel between those things that live below
Where vast the pressures ebb and flow
And all is silenced by their cries
In this world festooned with eyes
Each brimmed in water and blanched with salt
Blind they roll and gape into our darkest fault
Embroiling all our faults with lies
Through which we see without surprise
That water drowns before it swims.
